Are you a young/single parent (Mom or Dad)?

Or are you a young/single pregnant woman?

Brighter Futures for Children of Young Single Parents provides programs and services for pregnant teens and young/single parent families with children aged 0-5.

All programs are FREE!

And at Brighter Futures, you can depend on:

Our Counsellors provide counselling, support and referral for you and your family and are available for one-to-one counselling and support on all programs as well as child development and parenting issues.

Programs for Children   

Reach Ahead:  See your child blossom in this enriched child development program.

Watch Me Grow: Your child learns and grows in enriched programs (while you are learning in adult programs).

  Programs for Children and Parents 

Play for the Future:  Prepare your child for the challenges of life by building a stronger bond together, through the use of play, videotaping and counselling.

Baby & Me: Make friends and have fun with your baby (newborns to early walkers).

RAPP (Reading and Parent Program): Help your child with speech and language by reading, singing, telling stories, and doing family crafts.

T.L.C. (Toddler Learning Club): Enjoy play, crafts, climbing, friends and more at this playgroup for walking toddlers (to 3 years old) with their parents.

Young Fathers’ Program: Enjoy sports, meet new friends and get support.

 Programs for Parents 

Anger/Stress H.E.L.P. (Healthy Emotions/Loving Parents): Learn to manage anger/stress and cope with the challenges of parenting.

It’s My Child Too: Meet other young fathers at this parenting program just for Dads.

Kick Butt for Two: Want to quit smoking or cut down? Learn how and have fun!

Parenting Programs: Join a parenting program to learn new skills, gain valuable information and obtain support.

Right from the Start: Join this attachment-based group program for parents with children aged 0-2 years.

Tiny Treasures: Have fun while learning facts about positive parenting.

Support Counsellors: The Brighter Futures counsellors will gladly provide short term counselling and support on an individual basis.




Brighter Futures is funded by the Community Action Program for Children, Public Health Agency of Canada, in agreement with the Government of Ontario, and by Success by 6. We also welcome private donations.
